So far we haven't had a rest day on this trip, due to it only being a week and wanting to ride many kms of great roads. However, we figured we deserved one day off, and it might as well be somewhere with things to do! Thus, we have saved up today for a bit of touristy pottering around Dublin. No riding for us!
Of course, it would be a shame not to pay a visit to the excellent Guinness Storehouse while we're so close, and so that's exactly what we did:
It's a very popular tourist destination so I doubt it needs much introduction, but it's a tour through the history of the company that winds its way up their old retired storehouse which has been expertly converted for its new use. All very high production value, and at the end you can enjoy a pint of the black stuff overlooking the city:
I'm sure when we started the trip we were all expecting to be out on the lash all night, but to be honest we're all a bit road-weary and we have an early start tomorrow morning to catch the ferry, so that's your lot for today!
